Traditional Bircher Muesli

This traditional Bircher muesli with grated apples and raisins is healthy, delicious and waiting for you in the fridge when you wake up. It's the ultimate breakfast for anyone who wants to eat healthy while not spend hours in the kitchen every day.

ingredients
 

  • cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
  • cup plant-based milk (I used almond milk)
  • 1 medium apple, grated

instructions
 

  • In a jar or bowl, combine the oats, raisins, honey and almond milk. Stir well.
  • Grate ⅔ of the apple and stir the grated apple into the oatmeal. Place the lid on the jar (if using), or cover the glass tightly with cling foil (see above why this is important).
  • Refrigerate for at least 8 hours. Before serving, chop the remaining ⅓ of the apple, and serve with chilled oats.
