Creamy Raw Vegan Cashew Dip

Healthy vegan cashew dip you can make in under 10 minutes.

Creamy Cashew Dip This is my absolute favourite when it comes to creamy dips. It’s easy to make, can be stored in the fridge for days and goes great with pretty much anything.

With only six basic ingredients and a good food processor, you can have the Creamy Raw Vegan Cashew Dip ready in less than ten minutes. You can either use regular milk and cheese, or almond milk and vegan cheese (of your choice) to make the dip vegan. I’ve tried it both ways and I can honestly say that both options produce the same creamy, delicious dip with a mild garlic flavour.

Creamy Cashew Dip

One more thing. If you’re not a fan of garlic, you can easily omit the one garlic clove I put in the mix. The result will be a slightly milder version with a nuttier flavour.

The only thing you really need to remember about this recipe is to soak the cashews for at least three hours beforehand. The longer you soak them, the creamier the dip will be, so it’s best to leave them soaking over night or while you’re at work if you plan on making the recipe in the evening.

Creamy Raw Vegan Cashew Dip

  • 80g cashews, soaked*
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 80ml milk**
  • 30g cheese***
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. Place soaked cashews in the bowl of a food processor or blender with the garlic, milk, cheese, mustard and salt.

  2. Puree until perfectly smooth and creamy. Store in fridge for 3-4 days, or freeze.

Recipe Notes

*Soak the cashews in water for at least 3 hours and up to 12. Place the cashews in a bowl and cover with water by an inch, then cover with plastic foil and put in the refrigerator if soaking overnight. After soaking, discard the liquid and rinse thoroughly.

**Use milk of your choice

***To make it vegan, use vegan cheese of your choice
